Is it possible to create a desktop version ?
It will replace the old windows calculator if you could release this tool as a offline desktop app.

feel proud of what you've made!
Love this site. Use it all the time. So helpful.
If you're curious, I use it for everything from deciding how much my friends can afford for a cabin we're splitting, to deciding the optimal length of a base-36 string.
7 votesWow, thanks David, made my day :). Love seeing how people are using it.

Create a mobile web version
I use NetSnips to capture portions of web pages and easily access them or watch them update in real time. However, the UI for instacalc is not easy on iPhone. Therefore I suggest you make a mobile web version of instacalc or a bookmarklet.

Fix the save function
Fix the save function because i spent around 4 hours creating a calculator to instantly calculate the unknown variables when calculating work, power and such in physics, but when i went back on today my saved calculator has like 5 rows, all of my formulas and algorithms that i made are gone, kinda pissed.

allow dragging row labels to reorder rows
The behaviour should be like the examples on http://tool-man.org/examples/sorting.html. Some notable features of that implementation are that the dragged item stays at the same horizontal position and it does not vertically go beyond the bounds of the list. I would use only row labels as drag handles, but leave dragging the text fields to mean selecting their text. To indicate draggability, up/down arrows or a Gmail-like horizontal-line grip texture should appear near the row label when it is hovered over. (You can't just use a grabbing-hand cursor because that would hide the fact that the row label can also…

Enable downloading
I feel like we should be able to either download a hard copy of the calculator, or even a png. It would help if we have calculations for a web project and we have to leave this page. It might also help on the backend, not having to keep the calculators saved.

Implement Inverse Reciprocal Trig Functions
InstaCalc has csc, sec and cot, as well as asin, acos and atan.
It does not have acsc, asec or acot, and it should. Make InstaCalc just a tiny bit better by fixing this

Make it so if you close a calculator tab without saving, it prompts you to save
I've lost work a number of times by forgetting to hit save before closing the tab. I tend to assume that once I've saved a calculator once, any updates will get synced with your server automatically. But really it'd be nice to have this even for calculators that have never been saved before.
4 votesThanks John, great suggestion. I’m planning on redoing the instacalc website to make it more real-time, so changes are saved just as you type them.

Round to decimal?
I'd like for the function to round to the nearest decimal. Hope this is possible. Thanks for the calculator tool! :)
4 votesThanks for the suggestions! You can round numbers using the round() function:
but I’d like to make this easier and more discoverable. Appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback!
