NO TO ADVERTISEMENTS
I USE INSTACALC FOR MY WORK PURPOSES AND YET THESE ADVERTISEMENTS KEEPS BUGGING ME. PLEASE ERASE THESE ADVERTISEMENTS. I WANT AN AUTOMATIC CLOSURE OF ADVERTISEMENTS NOT A MANUAL CLOSURE THAT I HAVE TO CLICK X AND CHOOSE SOMETHING IN ORDER JUST TO CLOSE THE ADVERTISEMENT. PLEASE!

You should add a donation button and keep improving the service, maybe by adding additional columns (more like a light spreadsheet) and adding cell formats (like, for example, rounded cells 10 / 3 displaying 3 instead of 3.33 without the need for the round function).

HTML without iFrame
For eBay users, an HTML embed code without iFrame would be good.

Can you add a goto function?
This would make your calculator Turing-complete.
I know goto has been much maligned but it is easiest to add.

(-8)^(1/3) causes an issue
perhaps algorithm goes via logarithm and stops .1 vote -

A bug: "(-1^1)", says undefined number, although the mathematical syntax is obviously valid.
Please fix this, I like your service.

Fix numeric entries collapsing when a decimal point is entered (the entry box disappears when I hit the . key!) - this just started today...
It looks like a new bug from the update yesterday. The number entry box disappears when a trailing period is added to a number (like "3.")

Protect built in values pi and e
Attempting to change values of e and pi should produce error or warning.
pi = 5 should produce an error rather than "5"
e = 5
2 * e gives a confusing result to someone who doesn't know what e is.1 vote -
Rounding
Round seems to round only to whole numbers. I would like to be able to round to a certain number of decimal places. For example, rounding to two places for money calculations. How about:
Places(3.7823323,2) gives 3.78 or something of that nature.
Another idea would be a "setting" that specifies output format and places.

Thanks. Right now there’s the AVERAGE function (see http://instacalc.com/5285) but I’d like to put in more stats items, like STDDEV. Thanks.

A Cancel button at the top instead of down, as it is easier than scolling all the way down the page.

Implement Chinese character numbers
As you already have "1 million = 1,000,000", I assume you could also implement numbers in Chinese characters, like so:
2百 = 200
3千 = 3,000
4万 = 40,000
50万 = 500,000
6百万 = 6,000,000
7千万 = 70,000,000
8億 = 800,000,000etc...
This would be most useful for Chinese and Japanese people.

copy values onto clipboard without "," separators for thousands
If result is shown as 1,000,000, can you copy it onto the clipboard (via a copy button?) as 1000000. That would make it much easier to paste results into other applications.
